Hormone Testing

201803-omag-fg-hormones-949x534.jpg

Hormonal imbalances occur when there is too much or too little of a hormone in the bloodstream. Because of their essential role of communication in the body, even small hormonal imbalances can cause huge side effects. These microscopic messengers play a crucial role in your overall wellness, so determining which hormones have become imbalanced plays a major role in uncovering why physical and cognitive symptoms are manifesting.

Dutch Hormone

Test

DUTCH is a an acronym for Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones. This test is a comprehensive analysis of adrenal and sex hormones using easy-to-collect dried urine samples. This panel includes an in-depth evaluation of your hormones and how they detoxify in your body, along with the oxidative stress marker, 8-Hydroxy-2-deoxyguanosine (8OHdG) and other organic acid markers.

Saliva Hormone

Test

Saliva hormone testing is an accurate, non-invasive and clinically useful way of measuring hormones. Saliva collection is painless and convenient, particularly when multiple samples are required. Saliva hormone testing can be used to identify existing hormone excesses or deficiencies. Once a hormone imbalance has been identified, nutritional or bio-identical hormone therapy may be indicated.

Comprehensive Thyroid Panel

Getting the full picture when it comes to thyroid conditions is important from a functional medicine perspective because it helps us see where the problem truly is. Testing includes: TSH, Free T3, T4, thyroid antibodies, and reverse T3

Why we may consider this test for you

If you are feeling tired, body heaviness, have no motivation, have unexplained weight gain, exhaustion despite sleeping for more than 8 hours, or feels like there is a lump in your throat, then thyroid testing might be an important piece to getting proper treatment.
